- This village hall was constructed with natural materials (brick and wood)
- The scale is human (mainly two-storeys)
- The inner courtyard provides for a favourable microclimate in both the
   winter (sun trap) and summer (vegetated cooling zone with operable
   windows for cross ventilation)
- The complex surrounding the courtyard offers natural daylight to each of
   the rooms and the interior corridor surrounding the courtyard is a bright
   protected passage that lets the sun stream in and cast shadows
- The courtyard is surrounded by pergolas for vines to cover them in the
   summer and provide natural shading from the sun
